Dill is an herb belonging to the celery family. Dill is grown mostly in Europe and Asia where the leaves and seeds are both used to add aromatic flavors to food. It is sometimes referred to as dill weed to help distinguish the leaves from the seeds. 

Dill is delicious with fish dishes, especially salmon and is terrific when paired with something acidic like lemons or vinegar. Another very common use of dill is in pickles, hence the name dill pickles. Use it on potatoes, in buttermilk dressings, with cheese, and even over eggs!
