Using a marinade is one of our favorite ways of cooking. They are super easy to make and drive big flavors deep into your food. This results in more tender foods with developed complex flavors!
In Cuban cooking, Mojo Criollo marinade is a key ingredient and marinade sauce. Just add Mojo Criollo and you can turn just about dish, "Cuban Style"!
Our Mojo Criollo recipe is a tried and true Cuban mojo marinade recipe. We suggest combining fresh fruit juices with our special Carne Criolla Seasoning Blend to achieve a perfectly balanced, savory and sweet mojo marinade.
This marinade is extremely versatile and works perfectly for marinating MarnaMaria's Lechon Asada, Cuban pork chops, chicken, steak, even fish!
Ingredients
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp. MarnaMaria Carne Criolla Blend
Directions
In a bowl whisk together the orange and lemon juices.
While whisking, slowly add the olive oil to create an emulsion.
Stir in the MarnaMaria Carne Criolla Blend.
Don't have time to marinate your meat? No problem! Add Mojo Criolla as you would chicken broth. You can cook your food directly in the sauce or add it if you need more llquid!
