If you are a meat lover, you know all too well that there are not many things better than a perfect piece of meat. When you combine a great cut, incredible seasonings and impeccable cooking, it truly is perfection on a plate.
But our Roasting Herb Mix is not limited to red meat! Use it on chicken, pork or even sprinkle on vegetables and put them to roast as well!

Roasting Herb Mix
The holidays are the time for fancy roasts with big flavors. But we’ll share this secret, you can use this recipe on any cut or meat!
Ingredients
2 1/2 lbs. boneless rib eye
2 tbsp. + 1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp. sour cream
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 MarnaMaria Roasting Herb Mix
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Season the rib eye with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tbsp. olive in a pan over high heat and brown the rib eye on all sides.
In a small bowl, combine the sour cream and the Dijon mustard. In a separate small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup olive oil, MarnaMaria Roasting Herb Mix, garlic and 1 tsp. salt.
Spread the sour cream mixture over meat. Then completely coat the meat with the herb mixture to form a crust.
Bake on a prepared backing sheet, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140ºF.
Remove from oven and let rest, covered with aluminum foil, for at least 10 minutes.
It’s important to allow the meat time to rest so that all the juices can reabsorb in to the meat, giving you a juicy slice, rather than a dry and tough one!

With red meat, a red with strong tannins is always a safe bet. It’s the best way to experience a bold red. Not a red wine lover? We suggest trying a bit of a stronger white such as a French Viogner, a new world chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc.
