On a recent trip to Florida, I made a detour to see my aunt in Winter Haven, just South of Orlando. Winter Haven, once the home of the World Famous Cypress Gardens Theme Park, is a small town surround by orange groves that provide you with your morning dose of Tropicana as well as a few small lakes that are really only known to its residents. I think at one time, it was more of a destination for snowbirds, hence the name, Winter Haven, however it seems that is population hasn’t changed much from the the snowbirds who came decided to stay.

So recently I had the opportunity to work the grape harvest in Bordeaux, France, just outside that famous appelation, Chateau Margaux, in the an area called Moulis-en-Medoc. It was an experience to say the least. Both exremely fun and extremely challenging, but completely worth it in the end. I had the opportunity to be completely immersed in all things French. From the wine and terroir to the language and food, it was France all the time and it was incredible.

I was paired with said Greek lady, it's terrible, I cannot for the life of me tell you her name. We were in charge of feeding our group everyday for the entirety of the trip.
