This recipe is in honor of my sweet pup, Biscuit. She's a beagle and the best dog there ever was.

Many think of biscuits as a breakfast food, but we love them for lunch or dinner as well! Our savory recipe will have you hooked and coming back for seconds!

1 tsp. lemon juice

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2-1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. black pepper

4 tbsp. butter, melted + 1 tbsp. butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a small bowl, combine milk and lemon juice to make buttermilk. Set aside.

  3. In a separate large bowl, combine the flour, parmesan cheese, dried basil, garlic granules, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pepper.

  4. Using a fork, stir in milk mixture and 4 tbsp. melted butter until combined, being careful not to overmix.

  5. Using your hands, form biscuits of about 1/3 cup and place 1-inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly so the have a disk-like shape.
